Dr. Choudhuri is an MBBS Graduate from JIPMER, Pondicherry and completed his MD (Medicine) & DM (Gastroenterology) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 1982 & 1984 respectively. He has been conferred as the Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), Fellow of Indian College of Physicians (FICP) and Fellow of Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS). He was also awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCPI) in 2010.

Work Experience

With a rich experience of over 30 years to his credit, he is a leading gastroenterologist, medical educator, researcher, columnist and philanthropist. He served as a Faculty for 25 years at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. During his tenure as Professor & Head for 10 years, the department was ranked as amongst the top 5 in the country. His last assignment was as Vice Chairman – Institute of Digestive & Hepatobiliary Sciences at Medanta, The Medicity, Gurgaon.
