Dr. Mishra brings over 29 years of rich expertise in cardiac surgery, having performed more than 19,000 open-heart surgeries. His wide-ranging skills include minimally invasive cardiac surgery, valve surgeries using a port access (keyhole) approach, Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) closure, carotid artery endarterectomy, aortic aneurysm repair, and the use of ECMO for life support. He is also highly experienced in cardiac arrhythmia surgery, total arterial revascularization, minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating heart, Bentall’s procedure, and complex aortic arch and thoracic-abdominal aortic repairs, all with exceptional outcomes.
Dr. Mishra has also successfully performed over 500 robotic cardiac surgeries and 1,000 redo cardiac surgeries. He has been a key figure in the development of TAVR at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute and has been actively involved in heart transplant surgeries and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) procedures, contributing significantly to the field.
